* He is the son of television actor Freddie Prinze.
* Freddie went to 3 different schools during his youth, Eldorado, Sandia & La Cueva
* Freddie is left-handed, enjoys martial arts, swimming, dancing & collects comic books.
* From a very early age Freddie showed an interest in acting. He became a member of the "Albuquerque childrens theatre" & later the "Duo Drama Company".
* After finishing school in 1994 he went to L.A. to become an actor.
* His first taste of acting came with bit parts in television series such as "Family Matters" & TV movies such as "Too Soon For Jeff".
* In 1996 he auditioned for a role in Scream.
* 1996 was also the year that Freddie made his big screen debut opposite Michelle Pfeiffer & Peter Gallagher in "To Gillian on Her 37th Birthday".
* In 1997 he appeared in another TV Movie "Detention: Siege At Johnson High" co-starring Henry Winkler.
* 1997 was a big year for Freddie as he was given his first major starring role in the teen slasher flick "I Know What You Did Last Summer". The film was a huge hit worldwide & spawned a sequel in 1998 which he also starred in.
* Freddie showed his comedic charm, starring in the 1999 sleeper hit "She's All That" opposite Rachel Leigh Cook. This was the film that brought him international recognition.
* His next film the 1999 Sci-fi adventure "Wing Commander" was unfortunately a box office flop, but Freddie bounced back the following year in the romantic teen-comedy "Down To You" co-starring Julia Stiles & good buddy Henry Winkler.
* In 2000 he was included in "People" magazine's list of, the world's 50 most beautiful people. He was also included in the best dressed list.
* 2001 & 2002 were big years for Freddie Prinze Jr. He completed 3 films, "Head Over Heels", "Summer Catch" and the extremely successful live-screen version of "Scobby-Doo".
* The future looks bright for Freddie, now married to his Scooby-Doo co-star Sarah Michelle Gellar, the two are set to reprise their roles in "Scooby-Doo 2" set for a 2004 US release.
